With an increase in competition from big box chains and online retailers, it was crucial that Green Pawz develop an independent voice that would differentiate them in the marketplace. We needed to drive traffic and provide a personal experience far superior to the ease of online ordering and delivery.

SOLUTION

Research showed it was nutritional expertise that set Green Pawz apart from its competition. Using the brand’s core strengths, values and beliefs of endorsing environmentally friendly pet supplies, we developed the positioning of “Love your pets. And your planet.” Through consistent imagery and messaging, we created a shopping experience based on knowledge about nutrition, rather than price or convenience by hosting nutritional lectures, education newsletters and product demos.

OUTCOMES

The brand grew to be a great resource not only for reputable product but nutritional information and guidance as well. Green Pawz was voted best local pet store in Washtenaw County and was propositioned by and sold to a national pet store chain franchise.
